2026 Candidate Forums
Alameda City Council & Mayor Candidate Forum
This will be a free, in-person event on September 5th at 2pm. The location is the Stafford Room of Alameda's Main Library at 1550 Oak Street, Alameda 94501.
This candidate forum will have two parts. We will begin with the three mayoral candidates (Tracy Jensen, Malia Vella, and Tony Daysog). You may vote for one candidate on your ballot.
After a short break, we will continue with the City Council candidates at 3:15pm. Five will appear (Tyler Savage, Thushan Amarasiriwardena, Steve Slauson, Amos White, and Maria L. Bondonno). You may vote for two candidates on your ballot.

Alameda Unified School District Board Candidate Forum
This will be a free, in-person event on September 19th at 2pm. The location is at Alameda High School's Little Theater (Building B, West Wing) at 2200 Central Avenue, Alameda 94501.
At least three candidates who are competing for a four-year term will appear (Joyce Boyd, Carrie Hahnel, and Mike McMahon). You may vote for two candidates on your ballot.
FYI, one candidate (Ryan LaLonde) is running unopposed for a two-year term, so this office will not appear on your ballot.
